Ruf’s Fund to Conserve the War Eagle River is in memory of William Rufus Stephens Jr.

 

Our mission is to encourage and promote sound conservation practices of the War Eagle River and its watershed through education, management and stewardship with the goal of improving water quality resulting in healthy riparian, aquatic, and wildlife habitat.

Grants

Currently grants are awarded every other year. Past grants have been given to implement riparian restoration and connect youth with hands-on activities within the War Eagle watershed.

2024 Grant Increases Environmental Education of the War Eagle Watershed

Ozark Natural Science Center (ONSC) announced the receipt of a generous grant from Ruf's Fund to support its upcoming summer camps focused on environmental education and conservation within the War Eagle watershed.
